A fractional CMO who sets the plan and runs the pipeline.
Most fractional CMOs hand you a plan and a list of vendors to hire. We are Our Fractional CMO: we set the plan, then build and run the pipeline behind it, from the ideal customer profile to every reply, meeting and closed deal.
What is a fractional CMO?
A fractional CMO is a senior marketing leader you hire part time or on retainer instead of full time. They own the marketing plan, the priorities and the budget, and they answer for results.
- Typical published US rates in 2026: about $5,000 to $25,000 a month, or $200 to $350 an hour (cost guide)
- The usual gap: strategy without anyone to run it, so you hire an agency too
- Our model: one team that sets the plan and runs LinkedIn, cold email, calling and SEO/AEO
- Our scoreboard: meetings held, opportunities and closed deals, not replies
The plan, and the people running it
The plan
Who to target and who to exclude, which channels to bet on first, the message for each buyer tier, and how the budget splits across them.
The systems
CRM stages, lead tracking from first touch, sending domains with SPF, DKIM and DMARC, LinkedIn sender setup and call scripts. GTM setup
The channels, run
Lead generation, LinkedIn outreach, cold email, cold calling and SEO and AEO, run every week from one list.
Every reply handled
Replies answered the same business day, meetings coordinated onto your calendar, and every lead followed to an outcome.
Reporting on conversions
A weekly report that leads with meetings held, opportunities created and deals closed, and a monthly review of what to change.
A senior owner
Ken Minier, founder of Our Fractional CMO, owns the plan and the results. You always know who is accountable.

From our live programs
Leads by channel
In one program targeting the same market, and in some instances the same contacts: 52 qualified leads came on LinkedIn, 3 from 9,240 emails and about 5 from 2,283 dials. Knowing that molds the plan.
Bad records removed
Of 12,181 contacts audited before a single send, protecting the sending domains. How we build the ICP
A strong fit if
- You sell a considered B2B service or product and can name your buyer
- Marketing has no senior owner, or the founder is doing it in the gaps
- You need pipeline this quarter, not a strategy deck
- You would rather have one accountable team than a CMO plus an agency
Probably not a fit if
- You need brand campaigns, paid media or consumer marketing
- You want company strategy or product decisions made for you
- You can't take on new customers in the next few months
Fractional CMO: common questions
What is a fractional CMO?
A fractional CMO is a senior marketing leader who works with your company part time or on retainer instead of as a full-time hire. They own the marketing plan, priorities and budget, and answer for results. Most work a set number of hours a month across a few clients.
How is Our Fractional CMO different from a typical fractional CMO?
Most fractional CMOs set the plan and then hire or manage someone else to carry it out. We set the plan and run it: we build the list, set up the sending infrastructure, run LinkedIn, email and calling, answer every reply and report on meetings held, opportunities and closed deals.
How much does a fractional CMO cost?
Published 2026 ranges for US fractional CMOs mostly fall between about $5,000 and $25,000 a month, and hourly rates of about $200 to $350 are common. The bigger question is whether the fee includes execution or only strategy. We quote each engagement to its scope; our cost guide shows what drives the number.
Do you replace my marketing team or work with it?
Either. If you have a team, we set the plan with you, run the pipeline channels and work alongside them. If you do not, we run the pipeline ourselves and report to the founder or CEO.
What companies is this a fit for?
B2B companies with a defined offer and a buyer they can name, usually founder-led or with a small sales team, that need pipeline now and do not want to hire a full-time CMO plus an agency to get it. Much of our work so far is in financial services.
How fast does it produce meetings?
Setup comes first: the ICP, the list and the sending infrastructure. LinkedIn usually starts producing conversations soonest. New cold email domains need about 4 to 6 weeks of warmup and placement testing before real sending. We do not promise meetings by a date.
What do you report?
Conversions, not activity. Every week: meetings held, opportunities created and deals closed, with the replies and meetings that led there. Every lead is tracked from first touch to outcome.
Do you set business strategy?
We set the marketing and go-to-market plan: who to target, which channels to bet on, what the message is and how the budget is split. Company strategy, pricing and product decisions stay with you; we bring the market evidence to inform them.
